For me, photography is an exploration of our physical world. In my studies, you will find colorful flowers and unknown surreal landscapes, stretching the real into the surreal of the imagination. I started working on my first series, ‘Seasons of Light,’ as a search for distinguishing things - from leaf to leaf, the moods of colors, forms and motions as well as the impact of Mother Nature through the four seasons. I was astonished to realize that capturing the expressions of the leaves was very much like discovering myself. With this realization, my photographic work deepened further, and I asked: How far can I bring the organic forms to abstract forms? It is this interaction between the organic and the abstract that I have been studying and exploring through photography. My aim is to use these transformations of form and color to cause communication between the viewer’s conscious and subconscious perceptions of reality. Currently, I am working on nature abstractions and self-studies. I hope that these studies will bring new visions of life, insights, and new ways appreciating differences and changes in the qualities of light. |
